New purchases :)

I just got my most recent Forever21 order in the mail - it's always so exciting opening the box and trying to remember everything I ordered LOL

Here are most of the items I got (a couple are no longer available on their website, but included a plaid skirt and a long black sweater vest that I know I'll wear over and over this fall/winter):


^I have a thing for high-cut tops (is that what you call the opposite of a low-cut top?). I almost never wear anything that reveals cleavage...just one of my quirks I guess

^I definitely won't be wearing this to work, but I'm already daydreaming of how it will look with my light wash jeans or jean skirt and sandals :)

^This picture does NOT do this dress any justice, so I'm really glad I bought it. It fits perfectly, and may well become my favourite dress right now!

^This skirt is veeeeery form fitting (maybe I should have gotten a size bigger) so I hope I actually have the guts to wear it to work...it will definitely grab the attention of one or two male passers by.

^ FINALLY A FEDORA!!! I didn't want to miss out on yet another one, so this is the item responsible for the rest of the purchases (I had to buy a bunch of stuff to get a discount and free shipping...makes sense, right??)


^This is such a girlie item, but I couldn't pass it by - it's so cute, and the time was right when I opened it.

My new gladiator sandals

I already own the Nine West wedge gladiators in black and brown, but I couldn't resist buying these Jeffrey Campbell flat gladiators last week (on sale!!). I actually wanted to buy the brown ones, but these looked better on my feet...I still can't understand why!?!
I've already worn them a couple of times, and I predict they will be worn in quite well by the end of summer.

One minute it's here...the next minute it's gone!

I hope I learned my lesson! I was sooooo excited 2 days ago when I did my daily check of the Canadian Forever21 website, and found a beautiful straw fedora for under $13! Here it is:

It was perfect...now I just needed to buy another $60 worth of stuff to get free shipping (makes sense, no? LOL).
Sure enough, yesterday when I got home, I went to buy the hat (and the other stuff)...and IT WAS GONE! :(
Next time...maybe.

What I'm wearing today

Hello everyone! I'm soooo excited cause I got my Canon xti yesterday evening!!! Yay!!! I've taken soooo many pictures already, that when it was time for today's outfit picture....the battery died! NOOOO!!! So I had to rely on good old Canon Powershot (2 megapixels LOL):

Another obsession...

Maybe I shouldn't call them obsessions...I mean I don't dream about these things, or kiss my monitor when I see a picture of them, or call them just to hear their voice and then hang up...ok wait, that last one didn't make sense, but you get the idea. I'm feeling a very balanced appreciation for the following: BLACK AND WHITE STRIPED TOPS (as seen in these very stylish girls:












Can anyone tell me where I can find a similar top? I have one that's a few years old and just doesn't cut it - it's too short.

I really need to install Photoshop on my laptop, so I can create collages...until then, however, I'll have to continue posting a bunch of pictures, cause there's no way I'm sitting at my desktop computer! LOL
Which reminds me: how did I ever live without my macbook?

My latest obsession

I may be a little old to be wearing a "playsuit" or "romper", but I really want one, what can I do?! Maybe I'd just wear it around the house, or to the beach, but if I find one...I'm getting it! :)
I owned one when I was around 9, and I remember they weren't too comfortable when I sat down (if you know what I mean hehe), so I would try to get one that slouched a bit.
I currently have an ebay search going for the new rogan romper at target - wish me luck!!

One of my favorite pair of jeans (my seven for all mankind) has RIPped right in the crotch :( ...if it was somewhere else I'd mend them, patch them, or gladly turn them into shorts...but NOOOOOO it had to be somewhere where all I can do now is look at them, cause the fabric just wasted away...and it's not like I have a bony ass that could have caused the wear and tear! Anyone have an idea of what I can do with this useless piece of expensive denim now?

My latest acquisitions

I'm addicted to a few websites - there I admitted it!
Among them are: Fashion Toast (that girl's got great wit); The fashion spot; ebay and my newest one: forever21!!! I check these daily, if not more. My wishlist at Forever21 was getting huge, so I decided to actually buy some items :) makes sense right?

^And remember in my last post when I said I needed to add some pink to my wardrobe? Well, here's a start. As you see this item too was a necessity, so guilt-free also.

^This was the only item that didn't work out so well. I love the idea of it, but all the frills seem to add too much to my hips. I'll have to model it to the hubby and see what he has to say. I can always count on his honesty...that is if I can grab his interest to look at clothing first LOL. Oh, and it seems I probably bought the last one cause I can't even get a bigger pic as it's no longer available...

While going through this process, I realized that I have almost no pink in my wardrobe! Why? It even looks good with my complexion (or so I've been told)... gotta get more pink!!!
