What I'm wearing today

Another beautiful day today, and my baby girl is feeling better, although not fully recovered. We went over to my parents' house for a family get together, and this is what I wore:


^Club Monaco skirt, Forever21 top and belt, Payless sandals

My husband took this photo (to his delight LOL) and because he's taller than I, it looks like I have short legs...which I don't :)

Belt over skirt

I've been seeing many girls wear a belt over their skirt...like this:










I think all these girls look great, but for some reason, to me, this look says: "I love this skirt! It used to fit me perfectly, but since I've lost about 10 lbs I have to hold it up with a belt. I don't care though, and I'll keep wearing it like this." LOL It's probably just me...how do you feel about this look?

What I'm wearing today

The weather is crazy hot today! How hot is it, you ask? About 30 degrees! Great news, right? Not so much...my baby girl has been sick, and was getting better, but took a turn for the worse yesterday with 39 degree fever, a cough and an ear infection (poor baby!!) so I'm not even stepping outside today. I'm just going to pamper her all day, and let her do whatever she wants (except for touching the inside of the toilet, putting garbage in her mouth...you know what I mean).

So I'm wearing something simple and practical:


Men's Fruit of the Loom white v-neck tee
H&M jean vest
Earnest Sewn skinny black jeans

(I hope she gets all better real soon so we can hopefully enjoy some of the weekend outdoors with family and friends.)

What I'm wearing today

So I know it's been a while since I posted a picture of what I'm wearing. The thing is that I've had little time to do so. By the time I get everything ready to leave the house, get the baby all dressed up and looking cute, the last thing on my mind is grabbing the camera to capture what I'm wearing. Today I found some time, so here it is:



^H&M black skinny jeans, American Eagle brown leather belt, Forever21 polka dot top, my small brown Balenciaga "style" purse by Lush (I can't afford designer purses, and love the quality of Lush purses...what can I say!)

I seem to be attracted to a lot of polka dots recently, seeing that I bought 3 polka dot tops and 2 polka dot dresses in the last couple of months...it's weird because I didn't even realize it at the time, just now when I look in my closet LOL

PS - I'm working on my posing, but I always end up looking silly, so all you get is close up shots today LOL

Heart Sunglasses

I think heart sunglasses are really cute! But I'm sure most of you will agree that they're definitely for a younger audience, no? Or are they also for the young at heart? Can you picture your mom wearing them? LOL I'd love to see some pictures of blogger moms wearing these sunglasses!!

Organizing...

I love organizing! I don't mind if there's dust on top of surfaces in my house (although now with a baby I can't really let this happen...), as long as everything is organized and in its place.

Today I spent some time organizing my laptop. Picture a desktop FULL of folders and documents...well that's the before shot. I had the brilliant (or more like "obvious") idea of moving everything into a USB pen drive. I love it! Now I turn the computer on, and I see a clean desktop. YEY for the simple things that make me happy!

My husband also decided to re-organize the office today, by moving the desks and furniture around - I must admit: it looks a whole lot better now! And it's more child friendly too!

A couple of days ago I also added a few shelves to my shoe closet (which I had bought almost a year ago!), and now I have a gorgeous closet of shoes. Granted most of my shoes I don't really wear, but I LOOOOVE to look at them LOL).

Doc Martens

I owned a pair of 8-hole black Doc Martens long ago...as a matter of fact, I wonder what happened to them. More than likely my mom threw them out so she wouldn't have to see me in them another day LOL I wore them (almost) everyday, and with everything from shorts, jeans, babydoll dresses, tight shorts (LOL)...you name it! Well that was a long time ago - today I probably couldn't get away with doing that.

Now they're back (although they never really left, did they?) and you see them in all colours and materials. Which would you wear? Or would you?
