Belt over skirt

I've been seeing many girls wear a belt over their skirt...like this:

I think all these girls look great, but for some reason, to me, this look says: "I love this skirt! It used to fit me perfectly, but since I've lost about 10 lbs I have to hold it up with a belt. I don't care though, and I'll keep wearing it like this." LOL It's probably just me...how do you feel about this look?

Haha that's so funny how you noticed that! I saw that around too but never thought twice about it. I have to agree with you about the losing weight part of it!

Thanks for this topic. In fact I was going to chuck some skirts that no longer fit me. I have lost some 10 lbs or so in the last few months. So this is a great idea!! :)

PS: Your skirt is beautiful.

Erika - thanks for the add (I've done the same) :)

Fashion chalet - LOL I'm glad I could help. I'd love to see you wear them this way! Oh, and I didn't mean to mislead anyone:that last skirt isn't mine, I think it's Closet Kisses.

Hi bella! I saw on Playground Love's blog (Belowen) that you voted and I wanted to stop by and say thank you and check out this blog of yours. I was having a bit of a problem with this look today and ended up going w/o the belt, I'm still warming up to it I guess. xo

maybe you're right, but since it's chique to be skinny this isn't wrong, or?
